Palestinian FM discusses situation in Gaza with colleagues from Brazil, Colombia, and Tunisia

Palestinian Foreign Minister Riyad al-Maliki discussed the situation in the Gaza Strip with his Brazilian, Colombian and Tunisian counterparts on the sidelines of the summit of heads of state and government of the Non-Aligned Movement, held in the Ugandan capital Kampala, the Palestinian news agency WAFA said, reported from TASS.

According to WAFA, al-Maliki held meetings with Brazilian Foreign Minister Mauro Vieira, Colombian Foreign Minister Alvaro Leyva and Tunisian Foreign Minister Nabil Ammar. The ministers discussed the need for an immediate cessation of hostilities in Gaza, diplomatic efforts to achieve this goal, as well as opposition to Israeli restrictions on the delivery of humanitarian aid.

The ministers also stressed the need for an urgent ceasefire in the Gaza Strip and ensuring unrestricted open access to meet the humanitarian needs of the population of the Palestinian enclave, WAFA said.
