Pashinyan: Azerbaijan’s importance for both Russia, Western countries increased

Azerbaijan, directly or indirectly, is becoming or has already become an energy and logistics hub, and its importance has increased both for Russia and for Western countries, Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan said in the parliament, presenting the report on the work of the government for 2022, reported from Sputnik-Armenia.

"This situation contains both risks and opportunities. We see risks everywhere, and the opportunity lies in the fact that the South Caucasus itself is a big hub. The role of Armenia and Georgia is equally important in this. In this context, peace and stability in the region can become a consensus between the West and Russia,” he noted.

Pashinyan noted that "if the region explodes again, at least in terms of energy, this could become a problem for both Russia and the West, with all the issues arising from energy.”
