Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyansaid there are intensive negotiations between Yerevan and Baku and expressed hope that the parties will be able to agree on signing a peace agreement soon,  reported from Armenian media.


"Armenia remains committed to the peace agenda in the region. And we hope that shortly we will come to an agreement on the text of the peace treaty and be able to sign it," Pashinyan said.

According to him, the territory of Azerbaijan with an area of 86,600 sq. km includes Karabakh.

"And if Azerbaijan and we understand each other correctly, Yerevan recognizes the territory of Azerbaijan within the specified limits, and Baku recognizes the territory of Armenia within 29,800 square kilometers," he said.

Earlier, speaking at the Council of Europe summit in Reykjavik, Pashinyan also announced the recognition of the territory of Azerbaijan within 86,600 sq. km.
