The Ministry of Defense, the Federal Security Service, the Ministry of Internal Affairs, and the Russian Guard report to the President of Russia Vladimir Putin day and night about the measures taken regarding the coup attempt, Kremlin Spokesman Dmitry Peskov said. 

Yevgeny Prigozhin, the founder of the private military company Wagner, said earlier that the Russian Armed Forces had delivered a strike on PMC Wagner encampments in the rear, killing a number of fighters. The Federal Security Service launched a criminal case into calls for rebellion coming from Yevgeny Prigozhin.
