The counteroffensive of Ukraine’s Armed Forces has already begun and continues for several days. Intense fighting is going on along the entire border line, Mykhailo Podolyak, adviser to the head of the President’s Office, said in an interview with the Italian Rai TV channel, reported from RBC-Ukraine.

"For several days now there has been a counteroffensive, an intense war is going on along 1,500 kilometers of the border. Actions have already begun,” he said.

Podolyak also commented on the supply of Western weapons to Ukraine, stressing that the Armed Forces of Ukraine would not use them for attacks on Russian territory. Armament will be used exclusively for the de-occupation of the occupied territories of Ukraine.

"We don’t want to strike at the territory of Russia, we will use the weapons that you gave us to destroy the positions of the Russian Federation in the territories occupied by Moscow, including the Donbass and Crimea,” Podolyak explained.

He added that Ukraine now has Storm Shadow long-range missiles, Leopard tanks, anti-missile systems, ‘which France and Italy provided us with.’

"The F-16s will finally allow us to close the airspace. It’s a paradox: if we had them a year ago, the war would have already ended,” he stated.
