Moscow is open to resuming a trilateral working group with Baku and Yerevan

Russia remains open to continuing trilateral talks with Azerbaijan and Armenia, should its partners seek further engagement, Russian Deputy Prime Minister Aleksey Overchuk said on Monday.
Speaking on the sidelines of the 34th Congress of the Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs (RSPP), Overchuk emphasized that the trilateral working group, established by the leaders of Russia, Armenia, and Azerbaijan following their November 9-10, 2020, statement, has not been officially dissolved but remains inactive.
“The working group of deputy prime ministers was formed under the joint statement of our heads of state. While it is currently in a dormant state, we are aware that discussions on the matter continue among our partners,” Overchuk said.
“No one has shut it down, and if our partners reach out and we can be of assistance – and we believe we can – we would gladly resume this work. But the decision lies with our partners,” he added.
