Azerbaijan says Armenian forces fired on army positions

Armenian forces fired on Azerbaijani army positions in a fresh border incident, Azerbaijan’s Defense Ministry said on Tuesday in a statement.

According to the ministry, Armenian armed forces fired intermittently from 22:20 on March 18 to 01:40 on March 19, targeting Azerbaijani positions near Zod and Yukhary Shorja in the Basarkechar region and Bazarchay in the Garakils region.

No casualties have been reported. Armenia has not yet commented on the incident.
