Lavrov hails Russia-Armenia ties amid external pressure

Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said that Russia and Armenia continue to maintain strong political dialogue and expand economic cooperation despite external attempts to undermine their alliance.
In a congratulatory message to Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan, Lavrov emphasized that “despite efforts from outside aimed at weakening Russian-Armenian partnership, we are managing to preserve an active political dialogue and foreign policy coordination, as well as expand trade and economic ties both bilaterally and through joint integration projects.”
Lavrov added that Russia is ready to continue joint efforts to further deepen and enhance the effectiveness of the partnership.
In a response message, Mirzoyan underscored the importance of continuing cooperation between Yerevan and Moscow.
“In the current context of a changing global order, it is important to maintain our partnership based on the interests of our states,” Mirzoyan said, adding that Armenia is committed to long-term, mutually beneficial cooperation in political, socio-economic, humanitarian, and other areas, and aims to continue and expand meaningful dialogue that fully serves the interests of both countries.
