China becomes Azerbaijan’s fourth-largest trading partner – President Aliyev

China has become Azerbaijan’s fourth-largest trading partner, accounting for 7.9% of the country’s foreign trade, and now leads in imports with a 17.69% share, President Ilham Aliyev said in an interview with China’s Xinhua News Agency.

“Despite the dynamic trade and economic ties between our countries, there remains significant untapped potential,” Aliyev noted.

He emphasized the importance of the Intergovernmental Commission on Trade and Economic Cooperation, calling it a key mechanism for deepening economic ties, identifying new areas of cooperation, and formalizing them legally.

“Timely implementation of the Commission's decisions will be crucial to the success of our efforts,” the president added.
