Azerbaijani Speaker expresses solidarity with Türkiye after Istanbul quakes

Speaker of the Azerbaijani Parliament Sahiba Gafarova held a phone conversation with Speaker of the Turkish Grand National Assembly Numan Kurtulmus following the recent series of earthquakes in Istanbul,  reported AZERTAC. 

During the call, Gafarova expressed her deep concern over the tremors and conveyed heartfelt solidarity with the Turkish people.

She reaffirmed that Azerbaijan and Türkiye, as brotherly nations, always support one another in both joyful and difficult times.

In response, Speaker Numan Kurtulmus thanked Gafarova for her attention and support, and briefed her on the ongoing efforts to mitigate the consequences of the earthquakes.
