Kazakhstan takes over Almaty Process chairmanship from Azerbaijan

Kazakhstan has assumed the rotating chairmanship of the Almaty Process from Azerbaijan, officials announced Thursday at the 3rd Ministerial Conference of the initiative held in Baku.
The Almaty Process, launched in 2013, is a regional consultative platform focused on migration and refugee issues. The chairmanship rotates among member states every two years.
Azerbaijan held the chair for the 2023–2024 period. Previous chairs have included Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, and Türkiye.
