U.S. warns embassies within range of Iranian missiles amid rising tensions

The U.S. State Department has issued a warning to American embassies located within the range of Iranian missiles, including missions in the Middle East, Eastern Europe, and North Africa, The Washington Post reported.
Embassies have been advised to convene emergency committees and report back to Washington on risk mitigation measures. The U.S. remains on high alert amid expectations of a possible Israeli strike on Iran.
According to Al Hadath, up to 1,000 contractors may be pulled from the U.S. embassy in Baghdad. Associated Press and Reuters report that partial evacuations are also being considered in Bahrain and Kuwait.
Iran’s defense minister previously warned that Tehran would target U.S. military bases in the region if nuclear talks fail and escalate into conflict.
