US supports peace efforts between Azerbaijan and Armenia – State Department

U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio said a peace agreement between Azerbaijan and Armenia could be reached soon, during a Cabinet meeting at the White House attended by President Donald Trump.
State Department spokesperson Tammy Bruce said at a briefing in Washington that Rubio’s comments reflect ongoing diplomatic engagement. “This was not said casually. When we have more concrete information, we’ll share it,” she noted.
A bilateral meeting between Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev and Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan is scheduled for July 10 in Abu Dhabi, as part of internationally mediated peace talks.
