Macron says Armenia-Azerbaijan peace deal would open new chapter for region
French President Emmanuel Macron said a peace agreement between Armenia and Azerbaijan, signed as soon as possible, would open a "new chapter" for the region and beyond.
Macron made the remarks during a meeting with Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan in Paris, expressing support for Armenia’s peace efforts. Pashinyan briefed Macron on the latest talks in Brussels with Ursula von der Leyen and António Costa.
