Zakharova accuses Ukraine of stoking hostility between Russia and Azerbaijan

Russian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Maria Zakharova accused Ukraine on Wednesday of trying to exploit tensions between Moscow and Baku to fuel ethnic hostility.
“In Kyiv, they are seeking to use the current disagreements between Russia and Azerbaijan to stir up hatred and enmity,” Zakharova said at a press briefing.
She reiterated Russia’s respect for the decision by Azerbaijan and Armenia to engage in direct dialogue without Russian mediation. “We remain ready to assist the peace process and to provide a platform for consultations and the signing of a treaty,” she added.
