Ilham Aliyev and Nikol Pashinyan will sign a peace agreement -US President

U.S. President Donald Trump said he will host Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev and Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan at the White House on Aug. 8 for a “historic peace summit.” He made the announcement in a social media post.
“I look forward to welcoming President Ilham Aliyev of Azerbaijan and Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan of Armenia to the White House for a historic Peace Summit. These two countries have been at war for many years, resulting in the loss of thousands of lives. Many leaders have tried to end the war but have so far failed. My administration has long been in contact with both sides. Tomorrow, President Aliyev and Prime Minister Pashinyan will join me at the White House for the signing ceremony of an official Peace Agreement. The United States will also sign bilateral agreements with both countries to jointly develop economic opportunities and fully unlock the potential of the South Caucasus region. I am proud of these courageous leaders for taking the right step for the great peoples of Armenia and Azerbaijan,” Trump said.
He called it “a historic day for Armenia, Azerbaijan, the United States and the world.”
