Armenia says Turkey will open border after peace deal

Armenia and Turkey are engaged in a “substantive and dynamic dialogue” both officially and behind closed doors, Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan said on public television.
According to him, Turkey has indicated it is “ready to open the border and establish relations, but this should happen after the signing of the Armenia-Azerbaijan peace agreement.”
Mirzoyan said that while the deal has not been formally signed, it has been informally initialed, and logic suggests that should be followed by the unblocking of infrastructure between Armenia and Turkey. “But I cannot draw conclusions about what Turkish officials and experts think. We will be watching developments,” he added.
