President Aliyev meets visiting Georgian counterpart

Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev today met his Georgian counterpart, Georgi Margvelashvili, in Baku, state news agency Azartac reported.

It was Margvelashvili’s first visit to Azerbaijan as Georgia's president.

Aliyev and Margvelashvili had an exchange of views on a wide range of issues concerning bilateral ties. 

The presidents said they were "pleased by the level of cooperation" between the two neighbors and "expressed the hope that relations will expand further", according to Azartac.
