President Ilham Aliyev today met Turkish Defense Minister Ismet Yilmaz, who is in Baku to attend an arms exhibition.

Aliyev and Yilmaz said “friendly and brotherly” ties between Azerbaijan and Turkey were expanding in all areas, including in the military and technical fields, state news agency Azartac said.

They also discussed joint military drills to be held by the Turkish and Azerbaijani armies.

Aliyev also met an Israeli delegation led by Moshe Ya’alon, the first Israeli defense minister to visit Azerbaijan.

The arms exhibition that opened in Baku today includes display of Turkish and Israeli weapons.
