Russian President Vladimir Putin has sent a message of greetings to participants and guests of the IV International Humanitarian Forum in Baku.
The message posted on the Kremlin website reads:
“In only a few years the Forum has turned into an authoritative multifaceted event bringing together representatives of over 70 countries and leading international organisations. Among the participants are outstanding politicians, representatives of culture and the arts and scientists, including Nobel prize winners.
"The agenda of the current meeting includes issues dealing with the preservation and enrichment of our common spiritual and intellectual heritage and the development of science and education. I am certain that your interesting and substantial exchange of views will help produce new ideas and proposals aimed at strengthening trust and mutual understanding between peoples and expanding mutually beneficial cooperation in this very important humanitarian sphere.”
"The International Humanitarian Forum is taking place in Baku, the capital of Azerbaijan, on October 2-3.
"The presidents of Russia and Azerbaijan initiated the annual Forum."
