A quick-thinking joker has created a spoof ‘missed delivery’ card hours after Amazon announced it was hoping to send goods using unmanned drones. The announcement of Amazon Prime Air, for which small pilotless drones could, in the future, deliver items bought from the site, was made by the chief executive Jeff Bezos at the weekend. He said that objects ‘up to five pounds (2.3kg)’ could be delivered in a half-hour period. But what would happen if you weren’t in?Prankster @QuantumPirate mocked up an Amazon postal note complete with binary ID number and reasons why the delivery could not be completed. They included: ‘No appropriate landing site could be found’ and ‘Your package has been destroyed along with the drone after it strayed into restricted airspace.’Some commentators have dismissed Amazon Prime Air as a marketing stunt ahead of Cyber Monday – the busiest day of the year for online shopping.(metro.co.uk)
