Ana Marie Hernandez – nicknamed The Doll – fled El Paso, Texas in 2013 after pleading guilty to charges of bribery and drug trafficking.
The stunner was finally detained in Chihuahua, Mexico earlier this week – and is expected to be sent back to the US to face justice.
Hernandez, 38, allegedly smuggled thousands of kilos of coke through a border crossing where her hubby Daniel Ledezma worked.
The class A drugs were distributed to American cities including Chicago and St Louis, officers said.
She used her looks to gain access to top cartels and fund her lavish lifestyle, according to a former DEA chief.
Mike Vigil said: "Beautiful woman are highly coveted by the cartel leaders. They bring them into the fold and a lot of times have relationships with them.
"[The cartels] use them because they have the ability to infiltrate the United States and develop ties and distribution tentacles here."
Hernandez is rumoured to have dated notorious drug lord Joaquin "El Chapo" Guzman – who escaped from prison in July and is still on the run.
Mexican officials have offered a whopping £2.5million for information leading to the 60-year-old's arrest.
Vigil added: "One thing we know about Chapo Guzman is his love of beautiful women."
