BTC pipeline signs $1.63 billion loan agreement

BTC Co. has signed a $1.63 billion loan agreement with an eight-bank club.
The signing of the five-year facility follows the prepayment of BTC Co.’s project finance loans in September, according to an e-mailed statement from the lenders.
The lenders include MUFG, SMBC, Bank of China, HSBC, ICBC, SG, Citi and BNP Paribas Fortis.
BP-led BTC pipeline exports Azerbaijani and Central Asian crude oil to world markets via Georgia and Turkey.
