Azerbaijan shoots down Armenian drone near separatist region

Azerbaijan shot down an Armenian drone near the separatist region of Nagorno-Karabakh, the Defense Ministry in Baku said.
The drone was downed at around 11:45 local time on Friday in Tartar District, north-east of Nagorno-Karabakh, the ministry said on its website.
It was a third Armenian drone destroyed by Azerbaijan this month alone.
Azerbaijan is technically at war with Armenia despite a cease-fire signed 21 years ago.
Armenian captured nearly one-fifth of Azerbaijan’s internationally-recognized territory, including Nagorno-Karabakh, in a war after the breakup of the Soviet Union in 1991.
While major hostilities ended with the cease-fire in 1994, no peace agreement has been signed.
