An anonymous Instagram account revealing the lifestyles of the rich children of Russian oligarchs has become an internet sensation.

The biography of the anonymous profile says it is dedicated to documenting the lives of the children from Russia growing up in luxury.

The account specialises in collecting photos of rich Russian youngsters that they post online themselves.

Images on the profile feature them with everything from luxury cars through to selfies with expensive boats or famous people.

The account, however, is clearly dedicated to mocking the offspring of the mighty men of the Russian Federation, known as mini-garchs.

The project was inspired by hit Instagram profile ‘Rich Kids of Instagram', which features youngsters from the West in ostentatious displays of wealth.

Many show young bikini-clad women posing for photographs in their swimming suits while on tropical holidays.

Photographed on boats, beaches and swimming pools, they appear to be world away from the cold Russian winter.

The page owner said that even though he tries to mock social injustice, he does not hate the rich and beautiful children of Russian high society.

The images include pictures of a Daniil Alexandrovich, who every now and then posts selfies with high-profile global leaders.

Others show the youngsters sitting on the steps of private jets or showing off lavish wristwatches.

He said: 'People mentioned in the other profile simply own a lot of property. Other than that, they are very limited in terms of the laws of their countries.

'In Russia on the other hand, rules written on the paper, can be adjusted to the money.

‘I decided to use it. In this situation the current financial crisis is simply a nice bonus.'

And a spokesman for the original Rich Kids of Instagram account told MailOnline: ‘If it's doing well... good for them, I guess. But we are the original.’
