Deadly Soviet Russian nuke trains returning bigger and better in new Putin plot

Deadly Soviet Russian nuke trains returning bigger and better in new Putin plot

The Kremlin says it will soon start coaching new crew members to spearhead the terrifying project.

In a hark back to the Soviet Union's days of keeping the globe on tenterhooks, Putin's stooges will launch the "invisible" trains in 2020.

It means the eastern nation could have a means of preparing missiles for launch without being detected by satellites.

It follows news that president Putin has signed off high-tech combat cars strikingly similar to the Batmobile.

But the latest villainous plot is more reminiscent of a scene in 1995 James Bond movie Goldeneye.

Pierce Brosnan's 007 derails and blows up a Soviet nuke train to save hearthrob Izabella Scorupco.

Russia's Echo Moskvy Radio quoted a government tsar as making the shock claim last month.

"We need to think ahead," said the Strategic Missile Force's military education boss Viktor Nesterov.

"Realising full well that we are going to need specialists to operate this new missile complex we decided to launch special courses to train such specialists."

This "Barguzin" railroad system – named after a powerful eastern wind – will carry the pin-point-accurate RS-24 Yars Intercontinental Ballistic Missiles.

ICBMs boast a 3,400-mile range and can hold nuclear concoctions with potential to obliterate cities.

The new system will make a mockery of its old Molodets railroad – which was retired in 2005 – and which carried the outdated RS-22 ICBMs.

Out of the 12 Soviet-era missile trains, 10 were destroyed and two were sent to a museum.

The new railway engines will be disguised as freight trains and its powerhouse weaponry will remain undetected by satellite or electronic surveillance.

A train could literally park up at its isolated rural launch pads and then fire a missile into the skies.

The new railway is hoped to last until 2040 and its tunnels, tracks and launch sites are apparently already built.
