Vladimir Putin leads ice hockey team to win with heroic goal after taking a tumble
The normally ice-cool Russian president was left red-faced as he tumbled in front of the crowds.
But after his embarrassing slip, the 63-year-old quickly recovered as he got up and fired a shot into the opposition net.
Putin was leading a team of officials, businessmen and former players.
And the big-name team triumphed 9-5 over the amateur group they were competing against.
The Kremlin leader was wearing a red and blue jersey with a number 11 on the back.
The game took place at the venue built for the 2014 Winter Olympic Games in Sochi.
The exhibition match was the latest edition of the annual Night Hockey league Festival game.
Vladimir Putin has been photographed in the past riding topless on a horse, fishing, shooting and rowing.
At the end of the game, former Soviet Union player Alexander Yakushev handed the Russian president a giant trophy.
