SOCAR drilling edges up 0.4% in 8M

The drilling divisions of State Oil Company of the Azerbaijani Republic (SOCAR) raised drilling volumes 0.4% in January-August 2016 year-on-year to 74,248 meters, SOCAR told Interfax.


Production drilling totaled 72,948 meters and exploration drilling - 1,300 meters.


In August along, drilling work amounted to 12,567 meters, including 12,484 meters at production wells.


SOCAR's drilling divisions commissioned 39 new wells in 8M, including four in August.


In 2015, SOCAR drilled 104,411 meters of well, including 103,725 meters of production wells.
