Azerbaijani manat strengthens towards US dollar

Official exchange rate of the Azerbaijani manat against the US dollar was set at 1.6375 manats for Sept. 15, said Azerbaijan’s Central Bank (CBA) Sept. 14.

Thus, manat’s rate against the US dollar increased by 0.1 percent compared to the rate on Sept. 14.

The State Oil Fund of Azerbaijan (SOFAZ) sold $78 million to 22 banks through an auction held by the CBA Sept. 14.

According to the CBA, $150 million were put up for the auction.
