Azerbaijan's oil production up 1.2%, gas 5.6% in 8M

Oil production in Azerbaijan cAme to 28.16 million tonnes in the first eight months of 2016, up 1.2% year-on-year, the State Statistics Committee told Interfax.


Saleable oil production grew 1.1% to 28.125 million tonnes.


Overall gas production rose 5.6% to 19.764 billion cubic meters, of which 12.381 bcm of saleable gas, down 0.8%.


In 2015, Azerbaijan produced 41.689 million tonnes of oil, including gas condensate, and 29.743 billion cubic meters of gas. The government of Azerbaijan expects to produce 40.745 million tonnes of oil in 2016 and 29.345 billion cubic meters of gas.
