Azerbaijan's GDP down 3.9% in 9M

Azerbaijan's nominal GDP fell 3.9% to 43.436 billion manat, the State Statistics Committee told Interfax.


The non-oil sector accounted for 65.7% of GDP while the oil-and-gas sector accounted for 34.3%.


Azerbaijan's GDP decline for the reporting period was caused by a fall in construction by 32%. GDP per capita in January-September 2016 was 4,512.5 manat.


The government of Azerbaijan forecasts GDP growth of 1.8% in 2016.


In 2015 Azerbaijan's GDP grew by 1.1%
