Baku hopes for more US efforts on Karabakh under Trump

An Azerbaijani presidential aide has said Baku hopes the USA will make greater efforts for resolving the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict under President-elect Donald Trump.


"Azerbaijan's biggest expectation is about the US's role as a co-chair of the OSCE Minsk Group dealing with the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict settlement. The Azerbaijani president said in his congratulatory letter that we believe that Trump's election win will make the US's activity within the Minsk Group more dynamic and that the USA will become more active regarding this issue. We believe that a solution will finally be found for the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict," APA quoted Ali Hasanov, head of the public and political department of the Azerbaijani presidential administration, as saying.
