Another film about the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, ‘My dear’, was recently screened. The second film in the ‘Karabakh’ series, reflects the story of journalists who died in the line of duty during the First Karabakh War. The main character in the screenplay is the martyred journalist Salatin Askerova. The script of the film by Planet Parni iz Baku Films was written by Tahir Imanov and Anvar Mansurov, and directed by Anvar Mansurov. Nar was one of the companies which provided support to the film production. It is noteworthy that, the film is one of the projects implemented by Nar within the framework of ‘Long Live Azerbaijan!’ communications dedicated to the Victory Day.
According to Tahir Imanov, the film is based on real historical facts: ‘Our main goal is to demonstrate the events, realities and culprits that led to the outbreak of the Karabakh conflict to the Russian-speaking audience, as well as to the international community. In the film, we also tried to show the massacres committed against not only Azerbaijanis but also the people of other nationalities during the Karabakh war’.
