Criminal case launched on murder of schoolboy in Azerbaijan's Mingachevir

On November 18, the prosecutor's office received information about the premeditated murder of Orkhan Karimov.
According to the Mingachevir City Prosecutor's Office, the investigation revealed reasonable suspicions that Alvan Gasimov, known as the victim's acquaintance, shot Orkhan Karimov five times with a Makarov pistol in revenge as a result of an argument between the two.
The Mingachevir City Prosecutor's Office charged Gasimov with violating Articles 120.1 (premeditated murder) and 228.1 (illegal acquisition, transfer, sale, storage, transportation, and carrying of firearms, their components, ammunition, explosives, and devices) of the Criminal Code. A criminal case has been launched.
Alvan Gasimov is under investigation as a suspect.
Necessary investigative measures are underway.
