Ali Alizada: Iranian companies invited to invest in liberated Azerbaijani territories

By orders of the Azerbaijani president, regions such as the East Zangazur economic region, the Karabakh economic region, the Araz Valley Economic Zone were created in the territories liberated from occupation, and Iranian companies were invited to invest in them, participate in restoration and construction work, Azerbaijan’s Ambassador to Iran Ali Alizada said in an interview with the Iranian news agency IRIB.
He said that the liberation of Azerbaijani lands from occupation not only created new realities in the region, but also opened up additional opportunities in relations with Iran.
"Smart villages, cities are being built in the territories liberated from occupation, green energy zones are being created. Work on the return of internally displaced persons and refugees to these territories as soon as possible is carried out on the basis of the adopted program. A 132-kilometer part of the border territories of Azerbaijan with Iran has been liberated from the occupation, and our borders with Iran are now completely under the control of Azerbaijan. The president of Azerbaijan called the Azerbaijani-Iranian border 'The Border of Friendship',” Alizada said.
The ambassador noted that the president’s orders contain instructions on the application of various benefits (customs, tax, utilities, etc.) for entrepreneurs and private companies in the liberated territories: "I am sure that Iranian companies will also contribute to the economic development of the region.”
