WHO: Nearly 30% of teens aged 11 in Azerbaijan are overweight

Almost 30% percent of adolescents aged 11 in Azerbaijan are overweight, according to the World Health Organization's 2022 obesity report for European Region.

Almost 20% of boys aged 13, and almost 10% of girls of the same age are overweight and obese.

Obesity is observed in 20% of boys aged 15 and less than 10% in girls of the same age.

According to the information, 60% of Azerbaijani boys and 50% of girls do not eat enough fruits and vegetables every day.
