Defense Ministry of Azerbaijan: Armenian armed forces committed 9 provocations

Over the past day, Armenian armed units committed a provocative armed incident nine times, reported from the Ministry of Defense of Azerbaijan.

"Two of them took place as a result if firing at Azerbaijani army posts located in the direction of the Minkand village of Lachin from the positions located in the direction of the Saybali settlement of the Garakilsa district of the Azerbaijan-Armenia state border.

Seven other incidents were recorded when the members of the illegal Armenian armed grouping in the territory of Azerbaijan, where the Russian peacekeepers are temporarily stationed, intermittently fired different types of weapons at the positions of the Azerbaijani Army located in the directions of Tartar, Aghdam, Khojavand and Khojaly districts.

In all cases, as a result of adequate countermeasures taken by the units of the Azerbaijani Army, the opposite side was silenced," the ministry said.
