Azerbaijan's economy grows by more than 6%

In January-July this year, Azerbaijan delivered gross domestic product (GDP) worth 74.155 billion manats ($43.62 billion), or 6.2% more than in the same period last year, reported from the State Statistics Committee.

The value-added decreased by 0.4% in oil and gas sector and increased by 9.9% in the non-oil and gas sector

Industry accounted for 52.9% of GDP production, trade; repair of vehicles for 7.7%, transport and warehousing for 6%, construction for 3.8%, agriculture, forestry and fishing for 5%, tourist accommodation and catering for 1.4%, the information and communication sector for 1.3%, and other sectors for 14.3%. Net taxes on products and imports amounted to 7.6% of GDP.

GDP per capita amounted to 7,376 manats ($4,338).
