Azerbaijan MFA: Armenia does not stop provocative actions

Starting from September 12, Armenian armed forces continue their provocative actions against Azerbaijan despite the calls of the international community and the ceasefire agreement, reported from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan.
"As reported by the Ministry of Defense, the Azerbaijani Army carries out retaliatory measures against legitimate military targets.
"Adhering to international humanitarian law and humanism, the Azerbaijani side has declared its readiness to unilaterally hand over to the Armenian side the bodies of the Armenian soldiers who committed sabotage against the territorial integrity of our country and the International Committee of the Red Cross has been informed about this.
"In such a situation, the fact that Armenia does not stop its provocative actions and shells Azerbaijani positions shows that this country is interested in escalating the situation in the region.
"We call on Armenia to refrain from its destructive actions and observe the humanitarian ceasefire. Peace in the region can only be ensured on the basis of strict adherence to international law," the foreign ministry said.
