Since the beginning of this year, 1.7 million Russians have entered Kazakhstan, but the number of arrivals in the country has increased after the announcement of mobilization in the Russian Federation, the Acting Chairman of the Committee of the Migration Service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Kazakhstan, Police Colonel Aslan Atalykov said, reported from Kazinform.

"After the recent decisions of the Russian authorities, since last week the flow of emigrants from the Russian Federation has increased in many directions, including to Kazakhstan. If before September 21, 2022, about 9,000-12,000 Russians arrived or left Kazakhstan, then from September 22, two to three times more of them come to Kazakhstan,” he noted.

Atalykov said that over 2.87 million Russians entered Kazakhstan in 2019.
