UN ready to facilitate export of food & fertilizers from Russia

The UN, following the extension of the grain deal, is fully committed to removing the remaining barriers to food and fertilizer exports from Russia, Deputy Spokesman for the UN Secretary-General Farhan Haq said at a briefing, reported from TASS.

He noted that Secretary-General Antonio Guterres welcomed the extension for 120 days of the grain deal, which ensures the export of grain, food and fertilizer from Ukraine.

The UN is fully committed to supporting the Joint Coordination Center in Istanbul to maintain this vital supply line. The UN is also fully committed to removing the remaining barriers to food and fertilizer exports from the Russian Federation, Haq added.
