Zakharova: Azerbaijani embassy guard fought like lion

The guard of the Azerbaijani embassy in Iran fought like a lion, Russian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Maria Zakharova wrote, commenting on the video footage of the moment of the armed attack on the Azerbaijani diplomatic mission in Tehran.
"We are shocked by another attack on the Azerbaijani embassy, during which a security officer was killed,” Zakharova wrote earlier.
"We express our condolences and support to our Azerbaijani colleagues,” she noted.
On January 27, at about 8:30 a.m. (GMT+4), there was an armed attack on the Azerbaijani Embassy in Tehran.
The attacker broke through to the security post of the diplomatic mission and killed the head of the security service with a Kalashnikov automatic weapon. Two embassy security guards were also injured while repelling the attack. Their condition is satisfactory.
An urgent investigation is currently being carried out by the Azerbaijani side.
