Russian Foreign Ministry actively assisting Azerbaijan-Armenia peace treaty

Russia is providing active assistance to the peace treaty between Azerbaijan and Armenia, Russian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Maria Zakharova said at a weekly briefing.
"The declaration on allied cooperation between Russia and Azerbaijan, signed in February 2022, is a historic document, which consolidates the new qualities of relations between our countries, defines key guidelines for the development of cooperation in all major areas for years to come. Allied relations between Baku and Moscow are a stabilizing factor, both regionally and internationally,” Zakharova added.
She noted that work is underway with Azerbaijan to implement the provisions of the declaration and a number of events are planned to mark the anniversary of its signing.
