Lavrov: Russia ready to help organize Azerbaijan-Armenia talks on peace treaty

Russia is ready to help organize negotiations between Azerbaijan and Armenia on a peace treaty, but will not "offer its services too aggressively,” Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said at a joint press conference with Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov.

He noted that the Azerbaijani side has expressed readiness, while the Armenian side "does not object, but so far does not give final consent.”

"We reaffirmed our readiness to provide opportunities for the continuation of such meetings between Armenia and Azerbaijan,” Lavrov said at a press conference.
