Azerbaijani FM: Armenia's provocations became more frequent after arrival of EU mission

It is inadmissible to abuse the EU mission in Armenia to undermine the process of normalization of Azerbaijan-Armenia relations, Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov said on April 3 at a meeting with European Union Special Envoy for the Eastern Partnership Dirk Schuebel.

After informing Dirk Schuebel in detail about the post-conflict situation in the region, the construction and restoration activities of Azerbaijan, and the work to open communications in the region, including efforts to normalize relations with Armenia and promote the peace agenda, the minister noted that Armenia’s evasion of its obligations, the regular implementation of military-political provocations, the persistence of the mine problem are detrimental to the peacebuilding process.

Jeyhun Bayramov noted that the intensification of provocations committed by Armenia during the stay of the EU mission in Armenia causes concern.
