Matviyenko: Russia hopes for soonest conclusion of peace treaty between Yerevan and Baku

Russia hopes that a peace agreement between Armenia and Azerbaijan will be signed as soon as possible, Speaker of the Federation Council of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation Valentina Matviyenko said following the session of the CIS Inter-Parliamentary Assembly in St. Petersburg.

"Russia did everything possible and continues to do everything possible to ensure that a peace treaty is signed as soon as possible within the framework of a trilateral agreement, which was once signed by three heads of state. We hope that this will happen as soon as possible," Matviyenko said.
