IFC investments in Ukraine may reach $500M

The International Finance Corporation (IFC) has invested $208 million in Ukraine since the beginning of the war. In the next few months, the amount of investment may increase to $500 million, IFC Vice President for Europe, Latin America and the Caribbean Alfonso Garcia Mora said, reported from Interfax-Ukraine.
Mora specified that projects totaling about $400 million are currently under development, and the final amount will largely depend on donor support.
The Vice President recalled that in middle December 2022, IFC launched the Response Package project, which will allow the corporation to invest $2 billion over the next 18 months: $1 billion from IFC's own account, as well as $1 billion in the form of guarantees and concessional funding from international donors.
