Lithuania is ready to export 1M tons of Ukrainian grain by rail

Lithuania is ready to export 1 million tons of grain from Ukraine by rail, Minister of Economy and Innovation of the Baltic country Ausrine Armonaite said.
After the meeting with Minister of Economic Development and Technology of Poland Waldemar Buda, the minister said that the grain would be exported through Poland and then reach the world market through the Klaipeda seaport.
"Lithuania is ready to provide its assistance to Ukraine in organizing the export of grain outside the European Union. Our transport infrastructure allows for the transportation of 1 million tons of grain,” the minister specified.
The difference in track width can become a problem when transporting grain. In Ukraine and Lithuania, it is wide, and in Poland it is narrow, he said.
