Russian media: Real reforms started in Azerbaijan under Heydar Aliyev

During the years of the presidency of national leader Heydar Aliyev, real reforms started in Azerbaijan, and large-scale investments came into the economy, which became the basis of the current well-being of the state, the Russian newspaper Komsomolskaya Pravda said.

In the early 1990s Azerbaijan "began to gradually get out of conflicts, embarking on the path of independence."
