President Recep Tayyip Erdogan addressed the citizens of Türkiye living abroad in a Twitter post.

In his address, the Turkish leader said that he successfully completed the first round of elections with a high voter turnout: "Despite all the difficulties, you performed your civic duty in the most beautiful way. You showed respect to me and the People’s Alliance. You did not surrender to the pressure of the members of the terrorist organization and their attempts to break your will. You added strength to the power of Turkish democracy.”

Erdogan said that the name of each voter is written in golden letters in the history of politics: "I thank you from the bottom of my heart for that. Now we have the second round of presidential elections. The voting process abroad and at customs points starts tomorrow. Therefore, I call on everyone to vote. Hopefully, I believe from the bottom of my heart that we will come out of this test succesfully.”
